Meet The Doctors

Peter Gurr, DDS

Dr. Peter Gurr was born in Utah but has fallen in love with Texas! After serving a two-year mission in Mexico City for his church, he received a Bachelor degree in Spanish Translation from Brigham Young University, went to SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine for dental school, and completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry in Tucson, Arizona. He is bilingual in English and Spanish. Prior to residency, Dr. Gurr practiced as a general dentist for four years in El Paso and in San Antonio at children-centered practices. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. He also holds a standard proficiency certification from the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Gurr’s passion lies in serving each patient by helping them enjoy each dental visit, thereby improving their oral health throughout their life.

Dr. Gurr enjoys spending time with his wife and three young sons and they now have their foster children from Arizona residing with them here in Texas. They are excited to be working towards adopting them as well. He is currently volunteering with the Boy Scouts as an Assistant Scoutmaster in his area. 

Scott Jensen, DDS

Dr. Jensen grew up in Arizona, but married a Texan and is now proud to call Texas home. He received a business Degree from Brigham Young University and went on to earn his Dental Degree from the University of Southern California. Dr. Jensen has always loved working with children and even has five of his own! He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist as well. In his spare time, he loves coaching soccer, volunteering with the boy scouts, hiking, and camping. He can't wait to meet you!

Hidayat Nagori, DDS

Dr. Hidayat Nagori was born and raised in a small town in India. After finishing high school in 2001 he went to dental school and graduated with honors in 2006. He practiced general dentistry for a year and a half before moving to America for further education. Dr. Nagori received a masters in public health and administration at Cleveland State University in 2008. He then joined Case Western Reserve University, School of Dentistry for a one year fellowship in orthodontics. His eagerness to learn more took him to Jacksonville Florida, where he completed a residency in orthodontics in 2014. He quickly received Board Certification in February of this year. When he is not busy working with patients, he likes to spend time with his family. He played professional Badminton during dental school and lately he enjoys playing tennis, painting or golfing. Dr. Nagori is very excited to be a part of our great team of doctors at The Dentists for Kids.
