Peter Gurr, DDS
Dr. Peter Gurr earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish translation from Brigham Young University, and completed dental school at Buffalo State University, graduating cum laude with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2008. While attending dental school, he received an award for student leadership. He has practiced in San Antonio, TX since 2009.
Dr. Gurr continues to advance his education and training as a dentist as often as possible, seeking to learn daily as he practices. He has completed advanced training in many areas, including special needs dentistry and laser dentistry. He completed his pediatric residency in Arizona and became a board-certified pediatric dentistry though the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). As a dentist, his goal is to change lives by starting children on the best path for health and wellness. His patients often get nutrition tips from him in addition to flossing reminders!
When he isn’t having fun at work, Dr. Gurr can be found helping his wife take care of their four sons. He has spent a lot of time serving in Boy Scout troops with his sons; they enjoy camping and all things outdoors. Dr. Gurr also enjoys playing most sports (especially basketball), and building and fixing things. He loves dark chocolate and nuts, and totally digs The Piano Guys.

Scott Jensen, DDS
Dr. Scott Jensen attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate studies, graduating in 2004 with a degree in business management. He then attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2008. Following dental school, he completed a two-year pediatric dental residency in Tucson, AZ. Dr. Jensen has practiced in the San Antonio area for over two years.
Dr. Jensen is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and has been board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. As a dentist, his goal is to help children appreciate their teeth and like going to the dentist so that they can enjoy good oral health for a lifetime.
Dr. Jensen has been married for 16 years, and he and his wife have five children.

Hidayat Nagori, BDS, ABO (Orthodontist)
Dr. Hidayat Nagori attended dental school at Gujarat University in India, graduating with his dental degree in 2006. He completed his master’s degree at Cleveland State University in 2010, and in 2014, completed his residency at Jacksonville University Florida School of Orthodontics. He also completed an orthodontic fellowship at Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 2012, which provided him with additional training in treating complex cases that involve orthognathic surgery, and in treating specials needs patients. Dr. Nagori continues his dental education regularly, attending at least three different conferences or continuing education courses each year to stay up-to-date with the latest dental and orthodontic practices.

In his free time, Dr. Nagori likes to work on article publication, perform editorial work for the journals, or relax and play tennis. He has had several articles published in national and international journals on subjects related to orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Maria Karakousoglou
Dr. Karakousoglou was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She attended dental school at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, graduating with her dental degree in 2016. After graduating dental school, she worked as a general dentist and gained experience working closely with orthodontists.
She moved to the US in 2018 in pursuit of further training in orthodontics, completing a 3-year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Texas Health San Antonio (UTHSA) School of Dentistry, where she also received her master’s degree in Dental Sciences. As an additional part of her training, she completed a 2-year fellowship in lingual orthodontics while at UTHSA.
After discovering a passion for teaching and research, Dr. Karakousoglou was retained as part-time faculty and clinical instructor at UTHSA Orthodontics Department. She has experience working with patients with complex craniofacial syndromes at San Antonio Children’s Hospital CFA Clinic and is well-versed in orthognathic surgery treatments and complex developmental abnormalities. She is actively involved in orthodontic research, with a focus on the applications of digital technology in orthodontics, clear aligner treatments, and lingual orthodontics.
